Why? It's because last night we decided to get rid of the binkie. Yep. All Gone.
He asked for it a couple of times before bed, but understood what I meant when I said, "Nope, all gone!" This morning he had a hard time when he first woke up and couldn't find it, but he got over that after about a minute.
So far it hasn't been too bad. He usually only asks for it when he's sleepy, so we'll see how it goes from here!

AWW Poor little guy! Good luck with it and stick to your guns!
GOOD LUCK! That's AWESOME he's doing so well so far!
Rori did the same thing a couple of weeks ago. I was surprised at how well she handled it.
I tried to be sensitive when she wanted it (when she was sad, hurt, or tired) and I always asked if she wanted a hug since she couldn't have a binkie. Every single time, she said yes so I gave her one, and then she was fine.
The binkie was mostly a comforter, so offering extra loves and comfort really helped her to deal with it being gone.
