- He loves the microphone from RockBand. He walks around the house "singing" into it.
- He loves playing with cars. He has started making a "brrrrbrrrr" noise when he plays with them.
- I love his little toddler walk.
- His sign for "more" when he's hungry.
- He's working on giving kisses.
- When he's so excited to see me after school or work and gives me a big hug.
- He thinks everything goes through his basketball hoop, not just balls.
- He has started putting things in other things. Like toys in a basket, or stacking cups.
- He LOVES Dr Pepper and freaks out if he sees a can and we're not sharing.
- He likes throwing balls.
- He loves giving his friend (stuffed dog) a hug, especially at nap or bed time.
- He gives the best hugs.
- He loves baths and swimming. He tries to climb in the shower with dad.
- He likes to push his umbrella stroller around at Dad's softball games.
- He seems to know exactly where one of his binkies is, even after I've searched for one.
- He does a lot of "talking". He's really saying something, we just don't know what. If you ask him to repeat what he said, he will. It doesn't make any more sense the second time.
- He loves making his uncle Tim laugh.
- He "talks" on the phone all the time. He's even called me from Dad's phone while I was at work. We had a cute little conversation and Joshua knew nothing about it!
- He loves his daddy!

My kid is awesome
I just wanted to mention a few little things that Mike is doing now that I think is so cute. Every time he does any of these things I'm reminded how much I love him!

My cute son
A few days ago Joshua had a potluck lunch at work. Someone made some delicious homemade brownies, so he brought a couple home for me in a paper bowl. I ate one, then set the bowl on the sewing machine table. I turned my back for one second then turned back around to see this: (minus the bib, I added that later) I need to remember that he can reach more than I think he can!
I tried to take a cute picture with my son on Sunday. He wasn't in the mood to pose, apparently.
I realize this is a terrible quality video. We have a nice video camera, but haven't figured out how to get the videos off the dang thing so it's full and we can't use the videos anywhere anyway. We need to figure that out real quick. Anyway, here's what I can do with my other camera. I finally got him on video doing some cute things. If you look closely you can see him walking, playing basketball, and doing the one sign he knows, "more".

New Look
I decided I needed to do something new to my hair. Something fun. So, I went to my friend Jessica's salon and let her have some fun. These aren't great pictures of me, but you get the idea.
Here's before:
After...
And the back where you can see the highlights better.
We went a couple shades darker, and put the panels of caramel underneath so they still show through, but you can't tell when they grow out so fast. I like it so far, we'll see what Joshua thinks when he gets home from work. :)

New Background
I got a new background, and I like it, but it made me lose my friends list! I don't remember all of them, so if you want your blog on my list, write a comment to this post.

Welcome Home!
Last night, May 30th, my sister Beth came home from her mission in Sweden. Her flight was originally supposed to land at 9 pm, but after some delays it finally got to SLC at 11 pm. My dad was smart and checked online before we left to see if the plane was on time and when it wasn't, we stayed at their house instead of waiting at the airport. We stayed at their house after the airport until about 1:30 am seeing some of the things she brought home and hearing a tiny bit about her life the past 18 months.
Here are some pictures of the happy family :)
Here are some pictures of the happy family :)
Waiting to meet Aunt Beth for the first time.
There she is! (yellow shirt)
Tim and Katrina running to meet her.
Hugs all around!
Hugging Mom...
Hugging Tim...
And Tim again...
Even Joshua was excited to see her.
Mike was way sleepy.
The whole group.
Edited June 1st: I should add that Beth will be speaking in church next Sunday, June 8th, at 9 am. There will be a brunch at my parents' house after sacrament meeting (at about 10:30 am). I'm sure she would love it if you came to either or both! Let me know if you need directions to either place.
