Olives

Mike saw the plate of pasta salad I got for myself. He climbed up on a chair (new trick), sat down, grabbed my fork, and started eating...but only the black olives. Silly boy.

Here's a little video. Still working on the fork thing. (don't worry about turning the volume up, there's nothing to hear.)

The Bombers

Thanks to Joyce for taking this awesome team picture! This is as "normal" as Joshua and his brothers get in pictures, so good job! Here they are from left to right: Marcus Martinez, Danny Reeves, Kent Rupe, Jordan Rupe, Jefferson Rupe, Kyle Jacox, Jeremy Martinez, Justin Rupe, Randy Burgoyne, and Joshua Rupe. (Not in the picture are Greg Maxwell and Daniel Bacciocco.)

This team was pretty fun this season because most of it was family. It was Joshua, his dad and three brothers, his brother in law Jeremy, Jeremy's brother Marcus, my dad, and my cousin's husband, Daniel. Then they added one of Joshua's best friends, Kyle, and a couple guys from the ward. They ended up doing pretty well and won more than half of their games. Good job Bombers!

Tagged!

Pam tagged me, so here we go!

The rules are this - you must take pictures of the following things, as is, no straightening up etc.

My Fridge:

My toilet:

My kitchen sink, complete with dirty dishes from yesterday:

My favorite room in the house. This one is hard because I don't like how ANY room in my house looks, so I'm posting a picture of the one I like to spend the most time in...my front room, on my couch. haha.

My closet looks terrible right now because my husband decided to dump all the clean laundry on the floor, so there's a lot of empty hangers, and I tried to keep the floor out of the picture. haha. Here's the left side: (it's a walk-through closet to the bathroom)

and the right side:

What my kid was doing at the moment I was taking the pictures. (They've since moved on to other activities.) Holly is coloring, but Mike is more interested in putting the crayons back in the box, his pocket, or his mouth.
I'm not sure what my dream vacation looks like at this moment, I'm obviously not there, (haha) but I'd love to take Mike to Disneyland!

And finally, a self-portrait. I look great today, I know.
Now I tag 5 people: Heidi Smith, Amber Anderson, Jen Soules, Mary Cleverly, and Brian and Jennifer Tebbs (my next door neighbors).

Mike and Holly

For the past few weeks, Mike has enjoyed having his girlfriend Holly come play a lot.

This is one of their favorite things. I took apart the jumperoo, because he's too big for it now, but they still like to sit in it, play with the toys, make it play music, and then dance to the music.

The next few pictures are my attempt at getting a cute picture of them together. Holly looks annoyed that Mike won't just sit next to her. haha.

This is my teething son who can't keep his hands out of his mouth.

Here's Holly. She's cute. :)

Mike has a really weird favorite snack: hot dog buns.

He also likes to wear an oven mitt. I have a strange kid.

BASH

We picked up tickets for the X96/Maverick BASH today. It's Saturday, September 27, so in 3 weeks. We've been thinking about going, it'd be cool, then today we decided to go for it and buy tickets at Graywhale. Here's the list of bands playing: (Click on the name to go to their MySpace page and hear a song or two.)

Shiny Toy Guns
Hawthorne Heights
Jack's Mannequin
Atreyu
Mindless Self Indulgence
Local H
From First To Last
Ludo
Ten Years
The Brobecks
Trapt

I don't really know much about any of these bands, but I'm excited to get to know them better. The coolest part is the Live and Local Stage. Our friend Zak is in a band, Fourteen Days From Forever, who is playing on the Live and Local Stage, and maybe even the big stage! I still have never seen them perform, so I'm pretty excited about that.

Now, I just need to have a chat with Kendra about getting that night off work...
