This is how we're going to make our millions.

We got Mike his first baseball glove this weekend. He loves it! Watch out MLB, here comes Mike!

Then, just to be silly, Mike wanted to sit in the bucket of baseballs. Joshua put him in, and he actually didn't mind.

(He's wearing Joshua's medal from playing softball in the Utah Summer Games. When he finds it he puts it on and walks around with it for a while.)

PS Happy 15 month birthday today Mike!

Mike Dancing

When you squeeze the nose of the toy he's holding, it vibrates and plays music. It can turn Mike's crying into smiles in less than a second. Here he is showing off his dancing skills. He loves to dance as soon as he hears ANY music.

Picture Spam

Since I think my son is so cute, I'm going to post some pictures from the last few weeks. ;)
He LOVES yogurt.

He wants to jump up and take his diaper to the trash as soon as I get it off of him. I have to fight him just to wipe his bum so sometimes I'm too tired to get the new dipe on before he runs off with the old one.

He loves drinks. His uncles are a bad influence. ;)

I just think this picture is pretty darn cute.

We have some Dibs!

Riding in the wagon with Uncle Tim, but too busy asking for the camera to pose.

He got mad because I wouldn't give him the camera, so he turned around and cried against the coffee table. haha.

I still think he's cute, even if he is mad.

Lagoon

We went to Lagoon on Saturday for my dad's company Lagoon day. Mike rode a couple of rides and we all had lots of fun.

Mike hanging out with Grandpa.

Waiting in line with dad.

Realizing that they both have their hands stamped. He kept pointing to his, then dad's, then mom's, then his again.

Finally time to get in the boat.

After the ride with Mom.

Riding Puff the Dragon with Mom.
Playing in the fountains with Dad.
All wet!
He had fun until a girl accidentally knocked him over. :(

Blog Header

I made a new blog header in Photoshop, but it looks like it's straight out of a nightmare. I saved it as a jpeg, then uploaded it the same as I did before...why does it look like that? Does anyone know?

Post-Study

I don't regret doing it, but I'm still undecided if I want to go back and get the other two out there in a month or more. Yeah, they only did two. I don't know why, other studies they've done (like the one Joshua did 6 years ago) they did all four. It was pretty boring sitting there in a tiny room with an uncomfortable bed for 2 1/2 days. It was probably good for me, but really hard since I always like to be up doing things. I didn't get to read the Twilight series. :( I was planning on borrowing it from my sisters when we dropped Mikey off for the night before I had to go in (I had to be there at 6 am so we figured it'd be easier on all parties to have him sleep over the night before.) but my grandma was borrowing Eclipse. I'd already read Twilight, and I didn't want to skip over to New Moon, and my mom hadn't read Breaking Dawn yet so I couldn't borrow that one anyway. I did bring a few other books and a book of word and number puzzles, but I was still bored. They had tiny TVs with VCRs and a tiny selection of movies, so I watched a couple movies, but that's not really my thing either. I wish they would have let me keep my laptop! That would have been a big help since that's what I do, even if I didn't have internet access I'd work on stuff for school or just play around in Photoshop or Illustrator or something. My face is still kind of swollen, it hurts to bite down, and my jaw is stiff so I can't open very wide. I have to work tonight, tomorrow night, and Sunday night. I'm not so excited since I talk all the time at work, that's what I do. I can't eat much (soup, mashed potatoes, yogurt) so I'm not going to have much energy either.

Research Study

I'm taking Mike to my parents' house tonight and I won't see him again until Thursday afternoon. Joshua is taking me to Jean Brown Research at 6:00 tomorrow morning, then I have to say goodbye to him until Thursday too. I'm getting two wisdom teeth out, then I'm the guinea pig for Ibuprofen 600 mg Extended Release for the next 48 hours. Sound like fun? Not so much. I won't have a computer, cell phone, or anything with a clock so that I'm asking for drugs based on need, not time passed. I think I'm going to borrow the Twilight Series from my sisters and read those. I've read the first one, but why not the rest? I have time this week.

So, why am I doing this if it doesn't sound like fun at all?
  • I need my wisdom teeth out. I have a constant ache in my jaw. The ones on the bottom are growing diagonally into the bottoms of my back molars.
  • It's free.
  • They'll pay me $450.
  • I get a chance to recover without being a wife/mother/housekeeper. I wouldn't be able to just sit and do nothing at home.
It'll be a good chance to relax and make some money while making my quality of life better in the end, but I'll miss my boys. :'(
