7 Eleven

Friday afternoon, since it was 7/11, I stopped at 7 Eleven on my way in to work. I saw the signs on the door saying they were out of free slurpee cups, but decided I wanted one anyway, so I battled to busy parking lot to get a parking spot. I walked inside to see a big crowd around the slurpee machines, and didn't feel like dealing with it so I started walking back out to my car to go to work. That's when the pick up truck next to me started backing out and turned right into the side of my bimmer. Oh...crap. The kid (a 16 year old who had just gotten his drivers license and was obviously not practiced enough in leaving a parking spot) stopped, and eventually pulled back into his spot. I called Joshua, who talked to the kid for a while. He gave me his information, I took a few pictures with my camera phone, then I left for work. (I ended up being only 5 minutes late) What a lovely way to start a work shift. We're going to call and talk to his dad today. Someone is going to pay for a whole new door panel, and it's not going to be us!

Ahhh! That is so sad! I am always scared when I pull out of my little garage that I will hit Dan's BMW, but so far so good! My SIL got hit like that the other day by a 16 year old too and she battled it out but the girl did have to pay for it! Her insurance should cover it, because that won't be cheap to fix!
